Welcome
This rambling four bedroom antebellum farmhouse once fronted the main carriage road through Mathews in the days of Chesapeake Bay sailing vessels. This 6,000 square foot home is connected by a cozy office to a once bustling general store and post office. The main house is graced by two formal parlors, a large dinning room and a full length screened “sittin” porch.
The General Store and Post Office were both added following the War Between the States. The main house was then expanded in 1910.
